Moving from France to Norway: export a manifest from MovingMate

Use the in-app manifest PDF for customs and insurance — what columns MovingMate actually exports, and what you still add manually.

What the manifest includes

In the app: Manifest → Export manifest. MovingMate builds a PDF from your current boxes and furniture — available on the free tier with local inventory.

  • Summary: box count, furniture count, total volume (m³), total declared value.
  • Per row: ID (#sequence), type (box/furniture), destination room, dimensions (L×W×H cm), volume, weight category, fragile yes/no, contents text, declared value.
  • Rows sorted: boxes first by number, then furniture.

What you still document outside the app

Customs forms may ask for categories, serial numbers, or purchase dates — MovingMate does not have dedicated fields for those. Use the contents and declared value columns as your base, then add a cover note or spreadsheet for toll-specific codes if your broker requires them.

  • Fill declared value on high-worth items while packing — it flows into the manifest total.
  • Mark fragile and weight in the app — they appear on labels and in the PDF.
  • Keep a copy of the exported PDF with your shipping paperwork.

Languages

The MovingMate app UI is available in English, French, and Norwegian. The manifest PDF uses your inventory data as entered (room names and contents in your language).

Photos and claims (Move Pass)

Item photos (packed / pickup / delivery phases) and the claim dossier PDF require Move Pass or Pro — not included in the free tier. For international moves with dispute risk, photos plus manifest export give the strongest record.
