How to label moving boxes with QR codes in MovingMate
Print thermal QR labels from the app (Niimbot, Phomemo, Clas Ohlson BT M110) — supported roll sizes, what appears on the sticker, and scan workflows on loading day.
What's on the label
Each QR code opens the matching box or furniture in the app (deep link). The sticker also shows the sequence number (#012), destination room, BOX or FURNITURE tag, fragile/heavy icons when set, and MovingMate branding.
On compact rolls (50×30 mm and 50×80 mm), the layout prioritizes a large QR and room name — not a full contents preview. Use round 50 mm labels for a slightly roomier layout.
Supported label rolls
- 50 × 30 mm — landscape, rounded corners (common Niimbot / Phomemo roll).
- 50 × 80 mm — portrait feed.
- 48 mm round (50 × 50 mm liner) — circular die-cut stickers.
- Niimbot, Phomemo, and Clas Ohlson BT M110 (Norway) work over BLE; the app can also export PNG for the Niimbot phone app if BLE print fails.
Workflow: create → print → stick → scan
- Add the box or furniture while packing, then print the label from the item screen or bulk print from the dashboard.
- Stick the label where you will see it when loading.
- On moving day: Scan → Verify inventory and scan each label, or Open item to check one carton.
- Labels encode a unique ID per item — start a fresh inventory for each new move.
